The Phoenix Lights with author Dr. Lynne Kitei - During the evening of March 13, 1997, thousands of Arizonian citizens a silent mile-long v-shaped formation of lights slowly gliding overhead. The unexplained sightings garnered headline news catching the attention of USA Today, EXTRA, the national morning TV shows, and the evening news with Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather.

One person who was not surprised by the lights. Dr. Lynne D. Kitei was simply grateful that a phenomenon that she had been witnessing, and documenting for months was being validated by thousands of people statewide. After the incident Dr. Kite preferred to stay in the background anonymously feeding information and video clips to the many news organizations who wanted in on the story. Gail Mossman is the State Youth Coordinator for the Minnesota National Guard under the guidance of National Guard Bureau Child and Youth Program. The Mission is to provide Social, Emotional and Academic Support to Children and Youth of the National Guard. Gail is also a State Partner with Minnesota Operation: Military Kids. The focus of this program is on the emotional impact of deployment on children and youth, issues Guard and Reserve families face, military programs which support them and how community can support.
