A Tribute to Our Friend and Fellow Broadcaster
Dean Spratt

It is my privilage this morning to share again highlights from a very special moment first broadcast here on WCCO on October 4th of 2005. Our friend and fellow broadcaster Dean Spratt spent many years here at WCCO helping us find our way to and from wherever we were traveling in this metro area ..throughout the state and the upper midwest. He started here at WCCO in 1981. He was a first in this market..as no station had done traffic reports in the market prior to Dean's start here at WCCO and Dean.. who was blind from birth pulled salient points from a half a dozen scanners and detailed for all of us ..concise reports of what was going on with our metro traffic. He was also incredibly knowledgeable... and entertaining. Contagious....in the best of ways. Indelible on our souls! And so this morning ...I am going to bring back the wonderful conversation that covered so much of his personal history, his love for radio and just one of his many interests.. old time radio. So I dedicate these next hours and moments as we share again the airwaves with our friend and fellow broadcaster, Dean Spratt. Thanks Dean...for all you are and were and the incredible memories will hold dear forever.

It was posted on the www.830wcco.com site. It was a day later as our web master was sick. You can send me an email. Thanks! Brad
