Aerobatic Pilot Major John Klatt - One of the world’s top aerobatic pilots not only lives in the Twin Cities metro, but will be slicing through the skies during the "Wings of Freedom Airshow" May 26, 27, 28 at the Red Wing Regional Airport. John Klatt will be piloting the Staudacher S-300D, of the Air National Guard’s, "Guarding America, Defending Freedom Aerobatic Team." Weighing in at only 1250 pounds and toping out at 250 MPH, the Staudacher is a world-class aerobatic aircraft, purpose built for high-performance, unlimited aerobatics. It is one wild ride, capable of pulling +/- 20 G’s, which is twice the load of the F-16 "Fighting Falcon" that John flies in his "day job," as Major John Klatt with the 148th fighter wing of the Duluth Air National Guard. www.johnklattairshows.com
