Arne Fogel with Ken Mansfield

Arne appears frequently as a singer at the top jazz venues in the Twin Cities, and served as the opening act for Rosemary Clooney during her December 2001 appearance at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. He regularly hits the high-school-college-community meeting lecture circuit with songs and historical presentations of popular music and entertainment figures, was chosen from nationwide auditions to participate as a FELLOW of the 1998 EUGENE O'NEIL THEATER CENTER CABARET SYMPOSIUM in Waterford, Connecticut, and was a lecturer, performer, and conference consultant to the Hofstra University (Hempstead, New York) conference "BING! Crosby And American Culture" (2002). In 2003 Arne Fogel wrote, co-produced, and hosted a special program "Moments To Remember", presented in the 3M Auditorium of the MINNESOTA HISTORY CENTER.

...A Few Words from Ken Mansfield

As a record producer to many famous recording artists over the years, I have become used to product review and criticism. Therefore I will now take a different approach to this whole process and pre-answer the predictable criticism of the ramblings found bound between these covers.

To those who suggest that this is really two different books, I gently respond, "No it isn't." I can't write about recollections of the places I have been without the foundational realities of where I am now. If I had written this book twenty years ago, the chapters sandwiched between my Beatles remembrances would have probably been about drugs, rock concerts, and wild parties. My hard years in the music business are the reasons why I have now found a soft place out of the mainstream.
